Paul Delmann, beloved by many lore enthusiasts, is the only NPC with known α and Ω counterparts.

α-Paul

Stationed at Icebox

The α counterpart has been a recurring character in α-Earth ever since he was first introduced in Icebox in the form of a slide on the screen found in the kitchen area.

This screen shows that α-Paul is a Kingdom Corporation employee stationed at some point on the now abandoned facility, and that he has been rewarded with the title of employee of the month. This is further emphasized in the Good Job, Paul! card:

This card also provides some insight as to what α-Paul did while stationed at Icebox, working in direct contact with Radianite as evidenced by the hazmat suit. The facility he works is filled with fumes, an indication of the dangerous role α-Paul has.

The employee of the month theme is the focus once again in the Paul's Pizza Party card, where α-Paul can be seen celebrating his title by throwing a pizza party for his coworkers in the kitchen area. It is of note that all three employees have their hair shaved.

Stationed at Fracture

α-Paul's employee ID

α-Paul's saga in Icebox ends with his employee ID being found on Fracture. He was relocated from one secretive facility to another, with an announcement notifying him of a shipment from Icebox for his office transfer .

The security clearance detailed on his employee ID is 5, the implications of which are unclear. In addition, the QR code on the ID redirects to VALORANT's website.

The security clearance level is also referenced in a security screening that shows α-Paul was authorised to work on the Kingdom Industries side of the facility for 44 minutes and 34 seconds, with a mandatory zero contact policy where he is not allowed to interact with Kingdom Industries researchers.

The location where α-Paul worked at was the satellite array, which is completely wrecked in the playable map. This has lead to some speculation about α-Paul sabotaging the antenna, and although there is no definite proof, this terminal's hidden message amplified this sentiment:

The meaning of the decoded message is still unclear, but it could have been an early hint for the existence of Ω-Paul.

Surviving Fracture and Transfer to Kingdom West

With the destruction of the Large Radian Collider at the hands of Chamber, α-Paul's fate was left vague for a while leading fans to speculate about α-Paul's potential death; However in patch 6.03 a new Email between two Kingdom employees surfaces in Icebox's kitchen area. In the email Kingdom employee M. Calvin tells his coworker B. Tate that he is going to stay with their friend PD while in Los Angeles. The initials PD is proven to be referring to Paul Delmann who survived Fracture and has been transferred to a Kingdom West facility in Los Angeles and we can hear his name being mentioned in one of the announcements in the map Sunset. The details of his duties in Kingdom West is unclear but he seems to have worked in the transportation hub area of the facility. This is still unconfirmed but it is likely that Delmann did not sustain any injuries in or after the events of Sunset trailer.

Ω-Paul

There isn't much known about the Ω counterpart, as he is only mentioned once in Pearl.
