Chamber was revealed on 29th October, 2021 on VALORANT's YouTube channel with the video title "L’Accord" [The Deal]. This is the 6th cinematic to be released. In the background, Odd Banker by CHROMA Music plays.
It had the description "Questions answered. Futures revealed. Bienvenue au maître du jeu" [Greetings to the Master of the Game].
Synopsis[]
L'Accord serves as an early introduction of Chamber to the Community. The Video starts with Brimstone encased in a Pink Crystal Pyramid, in a mysterious Dark Realm that seems to be on neither α-Earth or Ω-Earth.
Both the Chambers showcase all their abilities as they get to Brimstone and free him. They work in unison to achieve this common goal, something never seen before between Agents from opposing Earths.
Overview[]
Brimstone Trapped[]
The cinematic starts focused on Brimstone's Right eye. Multiple short clips play in sequence, from previous cinematics, possibly indicating that Brim is having flashbacks:
- One of Tour de Force's bullets, its casing being ejected mid-air (0:09 - 0:11, Uncover Fracture)
- The Large Radian Collider at Fracture being shot down (0:19 - 0:22, Uncover Fracture)
- Various objects at Fracture malfunctioning (0:22 - 0:24, 0:31 - 0:32, 0:34 - 0:35, Uncover Fracture)
- Finally, the VLT/R is shown flying in, but the clip is Horizontally Mirrored (0:58 - 1:00, DUALITY)
On top of all this, the following voiceovers from Brimstone and Viper can be heard, in sequence:
Viper: Brim, we aren't alone here...
Brimstone: Guns up. Let's not take any chances. | ||

The Camera pans out, showing Brimstone frozen solid in a Pink Pyramid. There is a single Pink Octahedral Crystal floating above it.
Introducing the Chambers[]
The Camera pans once more, revealing α-Chamber. He utters, "Avec plaisir" [With pleasure], continuing the conversation from Brimstone's voiceover.
A large, white floating head appears behind him, containing in it 8 Copies of Chamber's Headhunter and Tour de Force each, along with a single Rendezvous and Trademark, and finally a Business Card. As Chamber takes a second to adjust his gloves, his Omega counterpart makes an appearance.
There is a flash of light, and a large doorway appears Behind α-Chamber, levitating in the air. The door is designed like one of Chamber's cards. Behind the door is Ω-Chamber (recognizable from the distortion aura that is present around all Omega Agents), who opens it and gets down using a Rendezvous.
Approaching Brimstone[]
α-Chamber stands with his counterpart as he contemplates the path that lies before him. The Pyramid near which Brim is trapped is on a raised platform, guarded by several statues of Omen and various broken hands, all holding guns.
Deciding on a course on action, Chamber activates his abilities, pulling out his Headhunter and Rendezvous (as he does this, those abilities are removed from the collection in the Head).
He throws his Rendezvous, which travels past the statues and lands by the Pyramid. Chamber then runs up one of the platforms leading to the Pyramid, Headhunter in hand, dodging bullets that the statues are firing at him. He takes a great leap, twisting mid-air, and fires his gun thrice with deadly accuracy: 3 bullets pierce the heads of 3 separate Omen statues.
Finally, right when he is about to be hit himself, Chamber activates his Rendezvous and teleports to the foot of the Pyramid.
Brimstone Freed[]
The camera now switches to Ω-Chamber, who pulls out his Tour de Force. Scoped in, Chamber takes careful aim and fires (ironically, his aim is slightly off when he pulls the trigger, pictured right). The bullet races past, and strikes the purple crystal floating above Brimstone's Pyramid. As the crystal shatters, faint blue sparks are observed. The pyramid loses its integrity, collapses, dropping Brimstone onto the ground
Chamber, standing before Brim, throws down his business card, saying "Pour vous, monsieur" [For you, sir]. Brimstone's eyes open wide, and the scene moves to a solo pose of Chamber. In the background, a voice-over of the conversation continues. Brimstone asks the man for his name, to which he gets the reply "Chamber."
The video then shifts to the VALORANT Logo, and cuts.
Theories[]
Despite the description's claim of 'Questions Answered', many more are thrown up than are solved: What, and where, is the world where this takes place? What is the Pyramid in which Brimstone was trapped? Did Chamber put him there? And, the elephant in the room, How (and why?) are agents from opposing Earths working together? Regardless of all this, there are still some very strong pieces of Lore that can be pieced together from the cinematic. Keep in mind that these theories involve much speculation, and should not be considered Canon.
Since the trailer was primarily meant as an introduction to Chamber, some parts might be just creative visualization to better convey the topic. Not everything shown may be Canon, and so all theories should be taken with a Grain of Salt.
The Chambers' Realm[]
It is quite unknown where exactly this trailer takes place. It is likely on neither of the Earths, but rather on a separate plane that is a 'No Man's Land' between the two. This is further suggested, as both the Earths can be seen in the background (one of which has Omega's distinctive Distortion Aura).
Ω-Chamber makes easy and casual an entry, and α-Chamber doesn't bat an eye at it. This could suggest that they both access it frequently; but why, how, and to what end they do so remain uncertain.
They could have created the realm together to better enact their plot of Destroying Fracture's Large Radian Collider (this is, however, unconfirmed speculation). The Chambers certainly seem to be familiar with the workings of the world, seeing as Ω-Chamber confidently shoots the Crystal floating over the Pyramid knowing that that will disarm it, or looking at α-Chamber's unhesitant demeanor in his actions.
The Laws of Physics clearly don't apply here in the same way as they do on either Earth: there are several instances showing various objects floating mid-air, unrestricted by Gravity, and the bullets fired at α-Chamber during his mad dash travel in slow motion. While all these effects are probably for the purposes of the cinematic, it is equally possible for this realm to be governed by a completely different set of rules than our own,
The Pyramid[]
The Pyramid is an important part of this world. All the statues present are angled towards it, arms outstretched, as if trying to reach it themselves. The statues also actively attack α-Chamber, but only when he tries to approach it. This could means the Chambers did not place the Pyramid there themselves, rather it was already present (with Brimstone trapped inside) before they intervened.
The Pyramid, while likely designed to be a prison of some kind, doesn't put its victims into a complete stasis. We see from the motion of Brimstone's arm (0:09-0:10, and more clearly 0:53-0:55) that he was capable of some level of physical movement. He was also having flashbacks while trapped, and was fully Responsive and Reactive (and loudly Groaning) immediately after being freed: it is likely that he was fully Conscious while trapped.
It is possible that the Pyramid is just the cinematic representation of Chamber's Rendezvous, it being the only one of his abilities not to be otherwise showcased in the trailer. The pattern on the Pyramid's platform is the same one α-Chamber creates when he summons his abilities, which could be a hint to this. It's trait of being an 'intense slow' rather than a complete 'freeze' is another similarity that points this way.
Abilities and the Head[]
It seems that the Chambers use the 'Head' as a form of centralized storage for all their Abilities. While it does get less than 10 seconds of screentime, it is still important. Both Chambers are able to draw their abilities from it, possibly signifying that they developed their weapons and created the Head together.
In the cinematic, the Head appears shattered. While the front façade is still in one piece (mostly), there is a gaping hole moving from the upper forehead to the back. There are several floating chunks of debris, as if the Head was smashed apart by some great force. It has several inlaid Gold Tattoos, matching the ones the Chambers have on their heads. On one of the bigger pieces, we can see that these tattoos continue on the inner surface too. At several locations along the head, it appears that Kintsugi (the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with Gold).
The manner in which several of Chamber's abilities work is different in the cinematic than in-game, as described below. A lot of these changes are likely just Non-Canon alterations for the purposes of the cinematic. Alongside these, there are also some notable distinctions in Chamber's Tattoos. Unlike in-game, they glow brightly right before the Chambers summon any of their abilities. His tattoos certainly have some connection to Chamber's abilities.
It has been explicitly stated multiple times that Chamber is a Non-Radiant, and so his tattoos are not the usual Radiant tattoos that several agents (such as Jett and Reyna) possess. They could be Cybernetic Implants, custom made by Chamber himself, which he uses to summon his guns. He could have designed them with the Goal to mimic Radiant Tattoos.
Cooperation between the Chambers[]
This is the single biggest lore drop in the entire cinematic. While some form of a pact between the Chambers had already been theorized (from the presumption that they destroyed the LRC at Fracture together, as witnessed in the Uncover Fracture mini cinematic), the Trailer confirmed it as Canon
However, their cooperation seems to be deteriorating. When Ω-Chamber pulls out his Tour de Force to free Brimstone, his aim initially lies on α-Chamber's back. Could this be the beginning of some dissent on Ω-Chamber's part against his Mirror?
Something certainly went wrong between them shortly after the trailer, as both are happily willing to shoot and kill each other in-game, even acknowledging that they should not have trusted each other. The only thing that remains of their pact is a slight hesitation at Round Start. The antics in the cinematic could be the linchpin that ripped apart their coalition.
Gameplay Dissonance[]
Chamber's Rendezvous doesn't work as it does in-game. In both the instances where it was used (once by α-Chamber and once by Ω-Chamber), The Chambers were able to teleport to the other Anchor without having another anchor nearby
In-Game, pulling out Chamber's Tour de Force will cause the tattoos on his head to disappear, only returning when all bullets are spent and the ult is put up. However, Ω-Chamber does not lose his tattoos in the cinematic when he uses his ult.
Notes[]
- VALORANT declared that they would delay Chamber's Launch by 2 weeks in a tweet. However, L'Accord was released on schedule.
- Chamber's Trademark is his only ability not to be used in the cinematic
