Chamber is the 18th Agent to join the VALORANT Protocol. The Frenchman uses self-designed Radianite technology to keep an eye out around the battlefield and snipe the enemy team.
Well dressed and well armed, French weapons designer Chamber expels aggressors with deadly precision. He leverages his custom arsenal to hold the line and pick off enemies from afar, with a contingency built for every plan.

Lore[]
Chamber is a radianite tech user who makes use of a pair of custom firearms, nanotechnology, and personal teleportation equipment. His general specialty is as both a weapons designer and as a marksman, as before he joined the VALORANT PROTOCOL, he was in the French military, worked as a PMC marksman, and later transferred to Kingdom's weapon design department. (The black business cards Chamber uses as part of his kit read "Vincent Fabron // Chief Weapons Designer / Kingdom Defense Program"[1], suggesting he was once lead of the department.)
Chamber's kit relies on two custom weapons, the intel gathering and crowd control ability Trademark and a personal teleportation method. His side arm is a Sheriff-like weapon with a gold casing and a scope called Headhunter. His main weapon is a high-powered sniper rifle named Tour de Force, which may fire radianite charges or bullets as evidenced by the UNCOVER FRACTURE trailer where it shows a close-up of one of his bullets being fired with the exterior casing falling away to reveal a purple crystalline shard inside. Both weapons appear to be designed and built by Chamber himself, as a blueprint for Tour de Force appears in the video from Chamber's social media takeover called L'Art de Vivre. Meanwhile, his personal teleportation system allows Chamber to reposition himself through the use of small metal cards (shown in Chamber's trailer L'Accord) and make use of a unique nanotechnology to allow him to recall both his custom weapons to him through the golden tattoos on his arms and neck. His intel gathering ability, Trademark, is a small bot summoned from one of his metal cards that can monitor a certain radius and destabilizes terrain with a slowing field after detecting an enemy and sending a signal to Chamber as an alarm.
From several voice lines from other Agents such as Brimstone, Neon, and even Chamber himself, it's revealed much of Chamber's history is swathed in a veil of making deals and withholding the truth from those around him on multiple occasions. This trend is most evident in his sour relationship with Neon, and how he has not revealed his involvement in the destruction of the collider at Fracture to the rest of the PROTOCOL. Aside from his air of shaky trust, Chamber is also consistently shown to be charming, with voice lines bordering on flirtatious with Cypher, Sova[2], Killjoy[3], Reyna[4], Astra[5], KAY/O[6], and Yoru[7], and with an explicit offer for a date to Viper.[8] (Which she proceeds to reject.[9])
Chamber, his Double, and Fracture[]
For the full history and story at Fracture, see Fracture's main page here.
Unlike the other Agents of the PROTOCOL, Chamber explicitly has a deal with his Omega counterpart. Through a series of emails found on Fracture, it's discovered that both Chambers have been working together towards an unknown goal for potentially as long as a year. While the nature of this deal is unknown, the establishment of it is what resulted in the two firing a simultaneous shot at the collider on Fracture to destroy it in the UNCOVER FRACTURE trailer. This deal is also what allowed α-Chamber to bring the schematics for the ALPHA-OMEGA bridge portal to the VALORANT PROTOCOL. This was revealed in update 3.09 when an interactable appeared on Fracture with an encoded message that was decrypted to mean "Schematics obtained. Tomorrow the usual." with a logo identical to the ones on Chamber's vest and guns in its upper right hand corner. The encoded message is in English while the encryption key is in French; more specifically this phrase: "Ç'est simple comme bonjour" [translation: it is as simple as saying hello] which happens to be one of Chamber's voice lines as well.
Chamber and Breeze[]
Chamber has a direct connection to Breeze as evidenced by his voice line:
Chamber: "Be careful near the ship, that portal does not work as intended. Such a bad investment."
In both this voice line and his Joint Venture player card, Chamber is shown to have a direct involvement in the creation of the portal on Breeze and a deal with Breeze's owner, Thurston Wolf.

Potential Connections to Icebox and Pearl[]
Much of Chamber's own research and interests tend to run adjacent to the fields of radiance, radianite, and inter-dimensional exploration. From a 4.0 voicemail from Killjoy, it's implied that Chamber is quite knowledgeable on the nature of radiance as he correctly speculates on Neon's connection to Earth's 'radianite mesh'.[10] Given this connection and Icebox's research on radianite anomalies and artifacts, it is speculated that an image of Icebox in which two figures can be seen in the window of the map's control tower are the two Chambers shown working together.
Chamber's connection to Pearl is another speculated map connection related to Chamber's involvement with Fracture. It is speculated that both Chambers might have been in contact and worked together with ALPHA scientist Oran McEneff and OMEGA scientist Rúben Pontes for nearly a year before making the decision to destroy the Large Radian Collider, possibly alerting the two scientists to leave the facility before they shot the LRC. McEneff and Pontes both escaped the facility for Omega Earth though the teleporters, causing both men to come under investigation by ATLAS in Pearl, with posters being put up in the district informing the public that the two scientists are wanted fugitives now. Scattered around several location in Pearl's B side are several rooster statues. Since the rooster is one of the symbols of France, and that both Oran and Rúben have yet to be found by authorities, it is possible they are being aided by the Chamber of OMEGA to avoid capture. (For a full discussion and speculation on this theory, Scribe @Strawberry79 on Twitter has a comprehensive thread on the subject.)
Dossier[]
The blackmailer released a dossier about Chamber in Patch 4.04:
The Blackmailer says that all of Chamber's endeavors were just small steps towards a bigger goal and states that what fuels him is not just ambition but rather something that he sees as absolutely necessary. Saint-Étienne refers to a city in France, however it is not known what Culverin is referring to; however there is speculation about it being the name of the PMC Chamber worked for before joining Kingdom Defense. It is worth mentioning that Saint-Étienne has historically been home to a large weapons factory that once made the city known as the "armory of the nation". This factory was later transformed into Saint-Étienne's Design City as a step to introduce fine arts to the industrial city.
The Blackmailer admits that they do not know of Chamber's motives but mentions that there is one truth that he holds sacred. The Blackmailer states that no matter what Chamber's intents are, his deeds will be judged and asks him if he can face the possibility of being seen as villain if the judgement goes against him, implying he may struggle with even the thought of being judged with disgust.
Appearance[]
Chamber is very formal in his attire, wearing a three-piece suit--missing its jacket--that consists of a navy blue vest over a rolled up white full sleeve shirt. His shirt is formally tucked in to pressed gray slacks held up by a white belt with a golden buckle bearing the same insignia seen on the white grip of his Tour de Force rifle. To add to the formality he has his shirt buttoned to his throat and accentuates it with a sunset-colored tie and a gold collar chain. For other accessories he wears a pair of square earrings, three-quarters length fingered leather gloves, thick black square-framed glasses, and a rectangular gold wristwatch with a dark blue face with its hands pointing to 2:00. His shoes are a more modern design on suit attire, being white leather loafers that come up into a high-top around his ankles. Adding to this modernity is his haircut, which leaves the sides closely shaven while the top is kept longer so it can be slicked back.
The final element of his design is his golden tattoos that run from his ring fingers, down his arms, and up along his neck, and end on the left temple of his forehead. While fittingly flashy for Chamber, these tattoos are also made of a special nanotechnology that allows Chamber to summon his equipment and guns to him, as well as assist in facilitating his ability to teleport.
Relationships[]
Although Brimstone, along with Viper, hired Chamber to the VALORANT PROTOCOL, both Viper and Brimstone are not fond of him and see Chamber as a person who is not easy to trust. Brim seem to show his mistrust, as reflected in a voice line where Chamber claims that he is Brimstone's "key to the other side" and he should at least pretend to like him.
Viper does not seem to be trusting of Chamber either but thinks that Chamber is a necessary Agent for VALORANT's plans and informs Brimstone in a voicemail that she will keep an eye on Chamber and will "take care of it" if he acts in a way that is not in the VALORANT PROTOCOL's best interest. Chamber has multiple voice lines flirting with Viper and asking her out on a date which is met with rejection. In follow up voice lines, Viper reminds Chamber of his promises to the PROTOCOL and does acknowledge that he displays a charming personality.
Chamber initially had similar goals to Reyna in terms of making Neon achieve her full power, although their motives may not align. In a voice line to Reyna, Chamber refers to Neon as an "impressionable young mind for you to corrupt" which underlines how he agrees with Reyna's views. However, in an email added in Patch 4.10[11], Chamber mentions how his motives were wrong and apologizes for his mistakes. Chamber has also supported Reyna's sanctuary in some unspecified way, and Reyna does not want Chamber to expect any favors[12].
Chamber used to have multiple voicelines expressing his interest in Astra's arm, implying a curiosity with Astral Guardian technology in general. However, these lines were later removed in the light of dissatisfaction from the community on the grounds of the unintentional racial implications[13]. However, because it was only removed for this reason, and not because it was deemed 'outdated' or 'innacurate', it is likely that Chamber's interest with the Guardians is still relevant.
Chamber has a negative past with Neon, who previously worked in K-SEC. The specifics of their relationship are not known, however Chamber informs Brimstone that he has a "past misunderstanding" with her. Later on in an email to Brimstone, Chamber mentions he has been apologizing to Neon for suggesting to release her surge protector to achieve enough electrical power to turn on the teleporter, but she does not accept his apology.

This is but natural, given Africa's colonial history under France (and additionally, under King Leopold II. Who was a Belgian King, which despite having a big French speaking population is its own country and should not be grouped together with France.)
