This page is an archive or all the lore elements present or updated in Brimstone's Office during Episode 4. For more information about the office itself, see its page
Brimstone's Office is an area in the Range, that contains many important lore elements that are periodically updated every Patch. An archive of all these updates added during Episode 4 has been made here.
Bulletin Board[]
The Office has a bulletin board, which is regularly updated with new content based on the current projects of the PROTOCOL and relevant events in the story. It was originally placed in the front corner of Brimstone's Office, but was moved upstairs later in Patch 4.04.
Click "Show" to expand
Patch 4.0[]
Killjoy's and Neon's ID images have been taped onto the Board next to the schematic of the teleportal, in reference to how they are both working together to get the portal working (see the Voicemail added in this patch for more information). The 'CAUTION' sticky note has been moved to the top of the schematic. To the left of the portal, a schematic of Neon's surge protector has also been added to the board.
Patch 4.01 & 4.02[]
No Changes.
Patch 4.03[]
Fade's Blackmail attack is on the horizon. After receiving a very concerning Email from Fade (through an anonymous account, [ENCRYPTED]), the profile picture used in the Email (a stylized Nazar motif that's come to be associated with Fade) has been added at the center of the map, with an attached sticky note reading "?!"
Patch 4.04[]
Red threads pinned onto the map now connect Fade's symbol to 6 out of the 7 maps (that were present at the time) - all except for Haven. These are the same maps where could find Fade's Dossiers during that Patch.
In this Patch, the Board was taken out of the underground office, being moved up to the hallway outside the shooting range instead.
Patch 4.05[]
Some reshuffling has taken place on the Board. The schematics of the teleportal and Neon's Surge Protector have been moved further to the side, and Fade's Nazar symbol moved up, in order to make room over Turkey. The country is now circled in red, and all the threads lead to it instead of to the Nazar.
Killjoy's and Neon's photos have been removed from their previous positions next to the teleportal schematic, possibly due to how the portal plans have been put on halt in the wake of this new threat. The Nazar now has portraits of the 6 Agents who made up the Strike Team - Sova, Breach, KAY/O, Chamber, Neon and Cypher - placed around it.
The maps to which the threads connect to have also been updated, now with Split being skipped - once again, showing the 6 maps where one can find Dossiers during that patch.
Patch 4.07[]
Not much has changed on the board. The threads have been updated, this time connecting to all maps but Breeze, and as usual one could find the Dossiers in these maps during that patch. Everything else remains similar to the previous Patch.
Patch 4.08[]
In the wake of the Sting and Fade's subsequent capture, the portraits of the Strike Team members have been removed from the board, replaced by one of Fade's. The Nazar symbol has been moved upwards, and it is connected to Fade's image and the pin over Turkey through more red threads.
All the older threads connecting to the maps have been removed, reflected by the fact that there were no more dossiers to find in this Patch. The 'CAUTION' sign over the teleportal schematic has also been removed.
Patch 4.09[]
All the content related to Fade's capture have been removed from the board, as have the old schematics of the Teleportal and the Surge Protector.
Some of the old Emails that could be seen at Fracture have been pinned up in their place. The original emails have been archived by Kingdom Archives, and can be found here. Going from left to right, the Emails pinned on the board are:
- (Patch 3.09, T-182) Rúben's automated response sent to Oran while he was unavailable due to his routine furlough.
- (Patch 3.07, T-319) Oran's email discussing their prior conversation about their home worlds.
- (Patch 3.06, T-381) Aurora's email to Rúben, updating him on her soccer team's achievements. This Email was also the first hint we got about Pearl being set in a Geodome.
Most of the text in these Emails have been scrubbed out, likely as a result of the purging of all facility data performed by K-IND when the Everett-Linde Disaster struck. An image Rúben's face has also been pinned onto the board, with his name written in block letters below.
Portugal now has a marker over it, labeled with an 'Ω' symbol, one of the many hints towards Pearl being set in Ω-Lisbon. All the other maps now have 'α' symbols attached.
Patch 4.09[]
All of the images related to Fracture have been removed, and are replaced with a single schematic of the Spike, hinting at the PROTOCOL's plans to reverse-engineer one for usage against Omega Earth.
Next to the marker over Lisbon, two small symbols of teleportals have been added. These are most likely in reference to the two terminals that Killjoy and Fade detected in their test run of the portal: one from which Fade came out, and another in the Data Center near Pearl's B Site.
Patch 4.10[]
The upper portal symbol has been circled, foreshadowing the PROTOCOL's upcoming attempt to explore the Data Center in Pearl, looking for intel about Ω-Lisbon.
Patch 4.11[]
No changes.
Voicemails[]
Brimstone's phone is an interactable present in the office, that plays voicemails sent by the Agents to Brimstone when interacted with. Like the Bulletin Board, the voicemails are periodically updated every patch.
Patch 4.0 Voicemails[]
It's me. I know you told me to leave S22 alone, but I went anyways. [aside] Shit, it's freezing! [normal] I searched the Warship again, and I found dimensional scarring on the sides. I'm telling you, this didn't sail here from Japan. And the armour - if Kingdom discovered Radianite 10 years ago, why is my mask filled with it? There's more to find here. I know we have other missions, but I won't turn my back on this place. YOU shouldn't either.
Brim, hi! Neon and I started our work on rebooting the portal. So far, so good! She seems nervous, but I like her! And her power is more than I could have hoped for. The bioelectricity inside her body is literally enlaced with Earth's radianite mesh! Do you know how crazy that is? It shouldn't even be possible! [laughs]
Looks like Chamber was right this time, but don't tell him I said that. We're still working on stabilizing the connection between our side and Omega, but we'll get it done. Maybe it's time to start planning the mission for after we break through. Sounds like a Brimstone thing, ja? Good luck with that!
The first Voicemail shows Yoru spending some time in S22 (Icebox), despite Brimstone having prohibited him from doing so. This is a part of his quest to find his lost ancestor, who is speculated to have been on the ship at Icebox when it crashed there. The Voicemail confirms the theories that the ship travelled to Icebox (either accidentally or intentionally) by going through a Dimensional Rift, and that while Kingdom had only discovered Radianite recently, other peoples had been using it for a long time before.
The second Voicemail is from Killjoy, being a status report on the α-Ω Bridge. Killjoy is optimistic, and feels sure that she and Neon will be able to complete the Teleportal soon. She also takes an immediate liking to the young Filipino, amazed by her powers.
Patch 4.01 Voicemails[]
I've been keeping an eye on Chamber for you. He's playing games, but nothing you need to be concerned about... for now, at least. I know you don't trust him, but we don't have that luxury. Chamber's made himself necessary, and we need to accept that. And he's followed through so far... as long as he keeps delivering, it's worth the risk.
Our team will never be perfect... if it were, you'd only have Sova and Sage on the Payroll. Hell, you made it work with Breach. I don't know how, but you did. If you can handle him, you can handle Chamber. I'll keep watching... the second his goals contradict ours? I'll take care of it.
Hey, Brim, listen up. So... today's mission got me proper tired. Imma pass out right now. And you're always going on about getting enough rest, yeah? Like, self care? So I was thinking... I should probably skip today's debrief. You know, cause... I gotta look after my health, and like... everyone else was there. And they remember what happened way better, cause, I'm tired, right? You don't need me. So... the squad's gonna cover for me. So we're good, yeah? We're good!
The first voicemail from Viper delves deeper into Chamber's relationship with the PROTOCOL. It is clear that Brimstone doesn't trust Chamber, but the VP need him and the help he can provide, and so they humor his presence. Viper advises Brim to proceed, but with caution.
The second voicemail is simply Phoenix calling in to skip out of work. While it doesn't give us much in terms of lore, it greatly helps in defining his character.
Patch 4.02 Voicemails[]
Umm... Hi. It's me. Can you... talk to Killjoy? She keeps getting close to the conduction cells... like, really close. And I keep telling her, "Ano ba [What are you doing?], back up! I'm moving a lot of power!". And... she does, but then she comes back, and... they're her safety protocols to begin with. And I'm following them. If she says, "Stand behind the yellow line", I stand behind the yellow line. But she doesn't stand behind the yellow line! She just... walks right up, and she's gonna get fried! When she dies by electrocution, it's her fault, not mine! So... do something? Okay, bye.
Brimstone... something happened at S22. I was walking the Warship again, when I felt something... different. The dimensional fabric was weaker there... older. I could feel seams that someone left a long time ago. And then... I fell, into a space that wasn't just 'A to B', it felt more like... 'now to then'. I pushed forward as far as I could... and, Brimstone... I heard someone, calling to me. I didn't have time to answer before the rift closed, but I swear to you... I knew her voice.
The first voicemail from Neon is a status report, of sorts, on the α-Ω Bridge that Neon and Killjoy are working on. All seems to be going well, expect for Killjoy's dangerous fascination with the incredible strength of Neon's power. She give Brimstone a fair warning that this fascination could get Killjoy killed.
The second voicemail continues Yoru's search for his lost ancestor at Icebox. Yoru describes traversing a rift that moved him back in time, an ability that was previously unheard of. It is implied that he heard the voice of his lost ancestor through the rift.
The timing of this email, in conjunction with the proximity of the long-awaited Yoru reworks, had caused many the speculate that this is the canon backstory of the new abilities that Yoru will have (with the premise being that Yoru will eventually find his lost ancestor, who will teach him new skills). However, this has unsurprisingly not occurred - Riot has usually refrained from relating in-game balance changes to the canon.
Patch 4.03 Voicemails[]
Brimstone! The day is close at hand, oui? Soon, our dear lady of lightning will shock the portal back to life, and open the gate to a glorious new world! Which is why I call... have you confirmed the Limiter Release Protocol for her suit? I... understand it includes certain voltage caps, that we must... remove for the desired power output. It is safe, no? I'm sure the suit's inventor was just being... overcautious. Anyway... good luck to us, and our star. We're all rooting for her!
What did Chamber say about my suit? I KNOW he called you. Was it the voltage caps? [sighs] Sabi ko nga ba [I knew it]. If he said, "remove them", he's WRONG. Even with the caps on, I can power a whole city block! And not like a small block, a BIG one, with restaurants, hotels... take them off, and say goodbye to half of headquarters. The limiter stays on, Brim. Tapos [end of discussion]. End of story.
The two voicemails in this patch from Neon and Chamber go together with each other, voicing opposing views on future plans. Chamber feels like the Voltage Caps on Neon's suit will need to be removed for her to produce enough power for the α-Ω Bridge, while Neon is confident in her abilities, and fears the potential overflow that may occur if she tries to use her powers without the limiters.
Ultimately, it seems that Neon wins out, and the project continues with the limiter on. Chamber later apologizes for this request, having realized the true extent of Neon's power, in an Email in Patch 4.10
Patch 4.04 Voicemails[]
Brim, we can’t pull this off any longer. We need more scouts. You have to stop relying on Sova. I know, you trust him, he’s capable; but he’s one man, and he’s exhausted. Not that he admits it... heaven forbid your golden boy ever let you down. Cypher’s network is invaluable, but it’s a crutch. It doesn’t replace our need for Agents in the field. We’re losing, Brim... you know that, right? If we’re going to survive, we need more information. We need more eyes.
Brimstone, I do not understand. Our secrets were buried deep, but the blackmailer has everything! They did not leak our dossiers to the public, but they could, and they will. Cypher has rivals, but they are not behind this... he claims the work is too impressive, and if Cypher is impressed, we should all be very concerned. You NEED to put the Omega plans on hold. We are far too exposed to fight a war on both fronts. This blackmailer is the priority now; we need them found... or dead.
Both voicemails from Sova and Viper are warning Brimstone about the increasing threat of Fade's blackmailing, advising him to take action as soon as possible, and make sure that taking her down has been given higher priority than retaliating against Ω-Earth.
Viper also expresses concern for Sova and Cypher, mentioning that they are working too hard and the team 'needs more eyes'. This was also a small teaser for the niche that Fade would fill as an Agent in the PROTOCOL's roster - an information-gathering initiator, similar to Sova.
Patch 4.05 Voicemail[]
Commander! The strike team to apprehend the blackmailer, you asked for my recommendations. Besides myself, we must send Cypher: no one else can handle surveillance of an entire city. Chamber can provide fire support from a vantage position. Breach has a... history with extractions... it would be foolish not to take advantage. Neon can help cover ground quickly; also, she needs a break from Killjoy... those two have been cooped up in a lab for too long. And KAY/O has agreed to pilot the VULTURE. Five on the ground, one in the skies, this is good. We will bring this threat to justice, Brimstone. You have my word.
This voicemail goes together with the Email sent in the same patch, discussing how the VP is preparing to fight back against Fade and her blackmailing. It is in response to a request made by Brimstone to Sova, asking him for a list of Agents to send against her. Sova lists off a team, comprising of himself, Cypher, Chamber, Breach, Neon, and KAY/O. Together, he plans for the team of six to go and apprehend Fade.
The voicemail also shows that the team refer to the VLT/R (that is, the V-03 that we see the VP use for transport many times, such as in DUALITY and WARM UP) as the 'VULTURE'.
Patch 4.07 Voicemail[]
Yo, big man. Seriously, tell us what's going on right now... because me and the others, we're all seeing things. Like, ghosts, or something... nightmare shit. Flicking lights... cold door handles... it's got us all twitchy. Raze is freaking out. And you and Cypher keep on doing these... secret meetings. Every time you do, it gets all scary, man. So look, I get it, you handle the serious stuff, it's 'need to know', but - you have to give us something. Who're you meeting with? Like, what's going on? We can handle it.
This Voicemail from Phoenix is a direct teaser for Fade, going in tandem with the Email added in the same patch. Throughout the 36-second long commentary, Phoenix's voice dips into an range where we've rarely heard it go before, sounding rattled, shaken... disturbed.
He describes, with an eerie steadiness in his tone, the terrors that him and the rest of the Agents have been going through, the consequences that came with capturing their blackmailer. He concludes with a request to Brimstone for at least some information on their predicament, if not a solution.
Patch 4.08 Voicemails[]
Brimstone! I've completed my audio analysis of the interrogation. My conclusion is the same as yours. Our houseguest is not the enemy... if anything, she is an ally. An ally with enormous potential. Her suspicion of VALORANT is understandable, given the state of our world, but if we can find a mutually beneficial agreement, I foresee great things for us all. I support her recruitment... just keep her away from my servers.
So what do I call you now? Sir? Commander? [laughs] Maybe not. The Nightmare is not an easy thing to wield. Rarely has it led me amiss... and yet is has, that is regrettable. But it is behind us. I will help you scout this 'Omega Earth', as you call it. But there can be no secrets between us. I carry your banner, as long as it brings me closer to him. With that said, if I even sense that you've strayed from your word... well, you will be lucky if you never see me again.
The Voicemails and Email of this Patch discuss the PROTOCOL's newest recruit, Fade.
Cypher's voicemail takes place after his interrogation of Fade (audible in Cypher's Office in Patch 4.08), in which he reveals to her the existence of Ω-Earth. Impressed by her powers, Cypher advises Brimstone that it would be a good decision to hire her. Sova being overworked as the only scout/information gatherer for the PROTOCOL was probably also a factor towards hiring Fade, as hinted by Viper's Voicemail in Patch 4.04.
Fade also sends a voicemail to Brimstone. She agrees to help them on their mission against Ω-Earth, but emphasizes that she's only in it as a part of her larger quest to find 'Him'. She also warns Brimstone that he should not break her trust, with the threat of abandoning the PROTOCOL if he does, or worse.
Patch 4.09 Voicemails[]
I am back from Omega. You got lucky, the inbound terminal is abandoned; it is safe for us. I checked the area, but I could not go far. I felt fear... all around me. The whole city is on edge, I do not know why. But in the minds I touched, I saw a place of secrets. It is near another terminal. If you want answers, that is where you must go.
Hey, chefinho [commander], it's Raze! Do me a favor, go easy on Breach for me, ok? I know you two butt heads, like, all the time. I mean, not every room in headquarters is soundproof... you know that, né? We can all hear you.
Look, everybody has bad habits, and those are really hard to break... and then he actually breaks things too, cause of the arms. But he's got a heart of gold, man! He looks out for me. And, I know at the end of the day, he would look out for you too... I think? And hey, there's so much worse out there, sabe [you know]? We need him on our side, ponytail and all. I know you understand. But, think about it for me, ok? Thanks, boss.
Fade's Voicemail goes along with Killjoy's Email added in the same patch, while Raze's does not connect heavily to the overarching story.
Fade reports on her trip through the teleportal, which leads to an abandoned terminal in Pearl on Ω-Earth, likely the one hidden in Attacker Spawn. Fade implies that there is something different about the nature of Ω-Earth, or at least the city she travelled to (Ω-Lisbon). She advises Brimstone to consider travelling to another terminal nearby (this being the Data Center near B Site that was later explored the SHATTERED cinematic), remarking that there could be information of value there.
Raze's voicemail encourages Brimstone to be less hard on Breach, as it disturbs the rest of the PROTOCOL, adding that it is not worth it for them to constantly fight each other. Raze mentions that Breach looks out for her, and he 'has a heart of gold', possibly having a double meaning as an idiom while also referring to his infamy as a criminal.
Patch 4.10 Voicemails[]
Brim, I need you to increase Reyna's mission assignments. She has to collect more souls. I'm already pushing the boundaries of the equipment, but I need more. [sighs] It's the transfer process. I'm losing too much in the conversion, for every unit infused another two are lost. [sighs] Life energy isn't exactly my area of expertise.
I know this has... dragged on. I thought I'd have a... solution by now, a way to stabilize the chemical-radian equilibrium, but... [heavy breathing, sighs]... but we owe it to Reyna. Collecting enough life for the both of them- that can't be easy. As long as the child lives, I have to keep trying. [long pause] Because if we fail... I don't know what Reyna will do.
Brimstone, we're out of those little coffee pot things in the common room. I don't use them, but when they're gone, everyone starts drinking my tea; and please understand, it's very expensive tea. Thank you.
The first voicemail gives more context on the nature of Reyna's powers, on her relationship with Viper, and on Lucia (her sister). It seems that Lucia is currently in a critical state, practically at death's door, and is just being kept alive by Viper and her medical prowess.
Viper is working hard to find a solution for the predicament. Currently, she has tasked Reyna with collecting souls during her missions, which are then transferred on to Lucia to help keep her alive. However, this process of transfer seems to be very inefficient, and gathering enough souls to keep both herself and her sister alive is a heavy burden on Reyna. Viper resorts to asking Brimstone to send her out on more missions, but this is clearly just a temporary fix to a bigger problem.
The second voicemail from Cypher has a much more lighthearted tone. Having drank through all of their coffee stores, the Agents now resort to drinking Cypher's tea - which he is not happy with. It is noteworthy that this happens right after Fade joins the team, given Fade's borderline-excessive consumption of the beverage (see Fade's article for more information).
Patch 4.11 Voicemails[]
Commander! I return with good news. A rarity these days, but no less welcome. My mission to α-Lisbon was a success by two measures: First, Killjoy's invention worked without incident! The Dimensional Radiometer can calculate the α-Ω Mesh with a 2% margin of error. Extraordinary... or so I am told. Killjoy ran off shouting before I was given a better explanation [laughs].
Second, the readings confirm our projections: the Radianite fabric on our side is strong. There is no imminent danger of Omega breaching to this location. We can relocate our defenses to more vulnerable sites. I would suggest S-43, but that is a contentious point at best. I look forward to my next assignment. Until then.
Brimstone! The team is heading back from Portugal. We scouted every inch of the city, down to the last brick. If the layout here on Alpha matches what's in Omega, we'll feel right at home. Now, you just need to find that Radianite. The scouting brief you sent was good... it's smart sending Killjoy and Neon: they know the portal best. If anything goes wrong during the mission, they'll solve it. See you in a few hours.
Both the Voicemails of this patch are aligned towards the conclusion of the PROTOCOL's attempts at developing a teleportal which can traverse over to Omega Earth. A small team (comprising of at least Sova, KAY/O and Killjoy) has been on a preliminary mission to Lisbon, Portugal on α-Earth in anticipation for an upcoming mission there in Ω-Earth. It was further evidence towards the upcoming map, Pearl, being set in Ω-Earth's Lisbon.
In his voicemail, Sova mentions an unknown location, S-43, calling it a 'contentious' point. Not much else is known about it, other than it being a vulnerable site. It's name is in the same format (an 'S' followed by a 2-digit number) is similar to Kingdom's naming for Icebox (S-22), indicating a similarity between the two.
Emails[]
As with Brimstone's phone, one can also interact with Brimstone's Laptop to reveal an Email sent to or from Brimstone by one of the Agents, which is also updated in each Patch.
Patch 4.0 Email[]
This Email from Astra warms Brimstone of the unintended consequences that may take place when the α-Ω Bridge is opened.
While Astra has always claimed herself to be an Astral Guardian, this is the first time we see her performing the duties of one, taking time off to ensure the potential ramifications of the Bridge don't grow too large. It is, however, unclear what exactly what these ramifications are. We can only assume that they will be of great effect, since Astra feels the need to skip out on work to ensure they don't occur.
It is also unclear why Astra feels the need to check the consequences caused by this particular bridge, despite us already seeing Ω-Earth (and more specifically, K-IND) using interdimensional teleportals. Indeed, the teleportal that Killjoy designed was based on a schematic of the ones used by K-IND (which she obtained from Chamber), so there is likely little difference between the two.
Patch 4.01 Email[]
This Email from Breach, while short, does give us a lot of important information. In it, Breach talks about his concerns towards maintaining the secrecy of the VP.
First of all, the Email gives us a better idea of the timeline so far: at 'current' time, it has been about a year since the events of the DUELISTS cinematic. Since the families of the workers who died at Everett-Linde are also just starting to inquire about the Incident, we can assume that it occurred in the relatively recent past as well.
Secondly, it finally confirms that the VP is a secretive, shadow organization, and the world is not aware of its existence (for now, at least).
Patch 4.02 Email[]
This Email is Fade's first contact with the PROTOCOL.
It is short and curt, but imposing in its message. The blackmailer is clear in her threat to reveal the secrets of the PROTOCOL to the public, if they fail to meet her demands.
At the moment of the Email being sent, neither us nor the PROTOCOL[1] were fully aware of what these 'demands' were - all that was given was an ambiguous mention of a 'him' in this Email.
At the time, a popular theory emerged that the author was Aurora Pontes, niece of Rúben Pontes, with the implications that she was aiming to avenge the death of her uncle at Fracture. This theory ties in well to the previous Email (sent by Breach, see above), which raised concerns both of the PROTOCOL's secrecy and of the families of the scientists who died at Everett-Linde starting to make inquiries about what happened.
Later, this was confirmed to be decidedly false, with the blackmailer actually being the Turkish Radiant, Fade, who would go on to be the next Agent hired into the PROTOCOL.
Patch 4.03 Email[]
This Email from Sova is in response to the threat caused by the previous one.
Brimstone has got the team working on finding the sender of the previous email, Fade. Sova and Cypher are both on the hunt, but so far they have found nothing. For the second time now, the VP is faced with someone whose secrets even Cypher can't get to.
With the yields of their work being mostly inconclusive, there is little the VP can do now, except to wait for another message.
Patch 4.04 Email[]
This is another Email from Fade, building on the previous one involving Sova and Cypher searching for her. Fade claims that their meager attempts to find her will not be successful.
She has already revealed her blackmail material to the PROTOCOL, through sending out the Agent Dossiers, and threatening to reveal this sensitive information to the public. The PROTOCOL is in a dire situation, and needs to act against this as quickly as possible.
Patch 4.05 Email[]
This Email from Cypher describes the PROTOCOL's first victory in the fight against Fade and her blackmailing.
Cypher has managed to discover her location, saying with conviction that they are "somewhere in Türkiye". In the Voicemail sent in the same patch, Sova refers to the area the team will have to search as 'an entire city', possibly implying that Cypher has managed to narrow the location down further. This was later confirmed to be the city of Istanbul.
With this information, the PROTOCOL prepares to go on the offensive and capture Fade, hopefully before she is able to leak any more of the team's valuable secrets.
The effective continuation of this came in Patch 4.07, with the introduction of Cypher's Office, where an Audio Log detailing the Strike Team's mission to apprehend her could be heard.
Patch 4.07 Email[]
This Email goes in tandem with the Voicemail that was also sent in this patch, serving as a teaser for Fade as an Agent.
Sent by Brimstone, it is his response to the countless queries made by the other Agents about the abnormal occurrences that they are witnessing, now that Fade is being held captive in the VPHQ.
As is now typical with the PROTOCOL's communication to its lower-down members, the message is short and non-descriptive, providing information without any real answers.
The email essentially concludes all that we already know from the recent Emails and the Sting Mission Log found in Cypher's Office: the attacks had been made by a blackmailer, who had been apprehended earlier by the PROTOCOL's Strike Team, and was currently locked up at base.
Patch 4.08 Email[]
The Voicemails and Email of this Patch discuss the PROTOCOL's newest recruit, Fade.
In contrast to Cypher's Voicemail, this Email from Jett voices a negative opinion towards hiring Fade into the PROTOCOL, one which is no doubt shared by many of the other members. Understandably angry, Jett proceeds to rant about how it was unreasonable to expect the team to trust and rely on Fade after she had so callously blackmailed them all.
The Email does, once again, bring into question the increasingly hierarchical organization of the PROTOCOL. While changes have been made to move away from the old setup (see the VALORANT PROTOCOL page for more information), the recent events have shown that a the withholding of important information is still prevalent, much to the dissatisfaction of the other members.
Patch 4.09 Email[]
Fade's Voicemail from Patch 4.09 is closely tied to this Email.
Killjoy is excited about the success about her teleportal, and reports that it's ready for a full mission into Ω-Earth. She also mentions the terminal that Fade sensed near their teleportal destination, saying that something significant is present there.
The Email reiterates what Fade says in her Voicemail for this patch. stating how the teleportal is safe to use and ready for a complete mission.
Patch 4.10 Email[]
Chamber's Email to Brimstone discusses two major topics.
The first half ties into his earlier Voicemail about Neon's Suit (audible in Patch 4.03), in which he asks Brim to consider removing Neon's voltage caps to allow her output her maximum possible power - to Neon's vehement opposition. In this email, Chamber takes that suggestion back, apologizing for his 'miscalculation'.
In the second half continues forward with the current plot, describing how he and Killjoy have been working on a prototype Spike, and claiming that it is near completion. He finishes with a French phrase, "le vent tourne" (translating roughly to 'the tides have turned').
Patch 4.11 Email[]
This patch features an Email from Brimstone to the team, in anticipation for their upcoming excursion into Omega.
In his classic fashion, Brimstone's message is serious and curt, with no false pretenses about the nature of the matter - it is, above all, a risky and secretive gamble, taking the fight into an unknown and hostile location.
While the trip into Omega is certainly a momentous occasion, Brimstone makes a point to reaffirm the PROTOCOL's anonymity to their world - they perform a vital, but still thankless, job. This could have been some light foreshadowing for the radically different conditions in Omega Earth, given the fame and stardom that the VALORANT LEGION enjoys.
